Committees
The Board has appointed five committees.
The Investment Committee reviews and recommends investment policy to the Board and is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and determining strategic investment matters. The committee verifies that investment strategies are implemented and that they comply with legislative and ATRF requirements. The committee also monitors and evaluates the performance and cost effectiveness of investment policies and strategies. The six-member committee is composed of three Board members and three external investment/business professionals.

The Audit Committee is responsible for performing duties to enable the Board to fulfill its oversight responsibilities in relation to the corporation's financial reporting, accounting systems and internal controls. The committee meets with ATRF's external auditors and recommends the acceptance of financial statements to the Board. This committee is composed of the Board Chair, the Chair of the Investment Committee and the Chair of the Finance and Planning Committee.

The Human Resources and Compensation Committee is responsible for performing duties to enable the Board to fulfill its oversight responsibilities in relation to the corporation's human resources and compensation matters. The committee consists of six members of the Board.

The Finance and Planning Committee reviews management’s business plans, operating and capital budgets, and makes recommendations to the Board. This committee consists of two Board members.

The Review Committee hears plan members’ reviews of certain administrative decisions made by ATRF staff. This committee consists of the entire Board.
