Members
The ATRF Board consists of six members nominated by each of the two plan sponsors – the Government of Alberta and the plan members, who are represented by The Alberta Teachers’ Association. Appointments are made by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Greg Meeker joined the ATRF Board in 2007 and in 2009 assumed the role of Chair of the Board. He is the Science Department Head at Victoria School of the Arts in Edmonton. Previously, Greg taught at Centre High School in Edmonton. Greg is a former member of the ATA Pension Committee and a member of the Science Council. Greg is currently Chair of the Audit Committee. |

Harry Buddle joined the ATRF Board in March 2011. Prior to retirement in 2007, he was President and CEO of Capital City Savings-Servus Credit Union for 21 years. Harry has served as a Vice Chair or Director on several Boards including Afexa Life Sciences, Credential Group Inc., Alberta Financial Investment & Planning Advisory Commission, Co Op Press and the Capital Health Authority. |

Karen Elgert is currently the principal at Gwynne School in Gwynne, Alberta and has taught in the Wetaskiwin Regional School Division for over 20 years. She joined the Board in 2009. Karen has been an instructor in the ATA’s Healthy Interactions Program since 2000 and has ongoing involvement with the Wetaskiwin ATA local. Karen is currently the Vice Chair of the Finance and Planning Committee. |

Lowell Epp joined the ATRF Board in May 2009. He is currently Executive Director, Capital Markets with Alberta Finance. As well, he serves as Vice President for the Alberta Capital Finance Authority. He is currently Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Investment Committee. |

Sharon Vogrinetz is Coordinator, Teacher Welfare with The Alberta Teachers’ Association. Sharon taught for 13 years with the County of Lamont and Elk Island Public School Division. She joined the ATRF Board in 2000. She is Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and Vice Chair of the Investment Committee. |

Gene Williams joined the ATRF Board in October 2008. He is Executive Director, Strategic Financial Services with Alberta Education. His career has spanned over 25 years in various financial positions within the Alberta Government. Gene is currently Chair of the Finance and Planning Committee, Vice Chair of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee, and Vice Chair of the Audit Committee. |
