This calculator provides an estimate of purchasing post-1992 eligible service. The calculator can also be used to estimate the cost of purchasing eligible service from 1966 to 1992. However, the cost generated by the calculator for 1966 to 1992 service will be just slightly higher than the true cost. This is because pensions for service from 1966 to 1992 receive a cost-of living adjustment of 60% of the yearly change in the Alberta Consumer Price Index, while pensions for service after 1992 receive 70%.
