Applying for CPP and OAS

Beginning as early as age 60 (at age 65 for OAS), you may apply for benefits under the Federal government CPP or OAS programs. There is no impact on your ATRF benefit resulting from applying for or beginning to receive these benefits even if you are receiving the ATRF Optional CPP/OAS Advance (see the information kit “Choosing Your Pension Option” for information about the relationship between the ATRF income smoothing program and the Federal Government programs.)
