In the Event of a Postal Strike

As you may be aware, at the end of 2024 the Canada Post strike was paused. At that time, the existing collective agreements between Canada Post and CUPW were reinstated and remain in effect until at least May 22, 2025. This means another labour disruption could happen as early as May 22, 2025 (but not before). This time of year is also when teachers who are retiring this summer are busy submitting pension applications to ATRF.

In light of a potential Canada Post strike, we would like to remind members that they can continue to send documents securely and timely through our secure member portal, MyPension. Signup is also available through this link for members who still need to register, or read this page for more information about the features benefits of MyPension. Members who can’t register for MyPension can fax documents directly to ATRF at 780-452-3547, or have them couriered directly to ATRF (at the member’s expense). For more information, please refer to the procedures ATRF put in place during the previous Canada Post labour disruption.
