Substitute Teachers’ Appreciation Week
March 9-13, 2026 is Substitute Teachers’ Appreciation Week! Substitute teaching serves an essential role in the continuity of students’ learning, and they deserve gratitude and appreciation for all they do!
If you’re a substitute teacher, or have done some subbing in the recent past, we invite you to join us on Thursday, March 12 at 5:00 p.m. for a 45‑minute webinar called Your Pension Matters for Substitute Teachers. This session will explore how purchasing substitute service may increase your pension and is tailored specifically for teachers who have recently taught as substitute teachers.
During this webinar, we will:
- Provide a general overview of the plan
- Share detailed information about the eligibility requirements for qualifying for a pension
- Explain the steps involved in purchasing substitute service
