TPRO is the software system used by employers of ATRF members.
The Teacher Pension Reporting Online (TPRO) portal is used by employers of ATRF members to ensure ATRF have all the data needed to properly process and manage pension benefits for ATRF members. The information in this section provides resources that explain how to perform some of the main functions of TPRO.
User Manual
Please ensure you are using the current version of the TPRO Manual. If you have questions regarding the manual, please contact your designated ATRF Pension Analyst via the Help Desk.
For New Employers
When an employer first joins ATRF, they will be required to provide ATRF with at least one staff member that will be designated as the “administrator” of their monthly reporting to ATRF. Once ATRF has received this information, ATRF will complete the registration and invite the administrator to join TPRO.
Once the administrator has joined, they are responsible for adding and deleting users as required to complete their reporting requirements to ATRF. If the payroll staff designated as the administrator leaves employment and no other payroll employee is identified as an administrator in TPRO, the new payroll staff can reach out to ATRF to complete a new registration. It is possible for an employer to have more than one staff member designated as an administrator in TPRO.
Reconciliation
It is important to keep your payroll, your Teacher Pension Reporting Online (TPRO) portal, and your remittances to ATRF reconciled. Below are some suggestions on how to ensure a smoother transition for your annual year end reconciliation.
- Keep track of adjustments (for example, in a spreadsheet) and make a note on your remittance statement of the dollar value attached to each particular prior school year.
- Make sure to allocate retroactive salary increases to the appropriate school year.
- Work out any unusual situations (missed days, terminations, payouts, etc.) ahead of time, manually in TPRO. In this way, you can be sure that the totals will validate and match your payroll.
- If your TPRO submission does not match your remittance, keep track of which employees are affected and where the errors occurred. Remember to use this information when you submit the next month.
- Use your Export Summary Report in TPRO as a tool in reconciling.
- Make reconciling a part of your monthly routine to avoid problems later.
